Summer Conference at ECCO 2020 – Cancelled
Regional Honor Choirs 2020 – Suspended

Summer Choral Summit – Newly ADDED

Summer Conference at ECCO 2020
and
Summer Choral Summit

We’ve made the decision that CCDA cannot hold our annual 2020 ECCO Conference in Oakhurst as planned. It has become clear that it just won’t be possible – or, more importantly, safe – to gather our community together the way we had so hoped to do. ECCO is something we all look forward to every year. We are sincerely disappointed to miss our annual gathering of learning, sharing and fellowship.

Please remain connected with us during this difficult time. We have created a diverse collection of Webinars as part the CASMEC family of music organizations, and will reach out directly in Cantate.

In the place of ECCO, however, we are excited to announce that we have scheduled an online Summer Choral Summit for July 26-28, 2020. Preregistration begins July 1. Stay tuned for more information.

We will also be in touch about CCDA’s programs for the next academic year as they become clearer in the weeks ahead. Your board is dedicated to serving you through this crisis, and helping us all emerge stronger than before. Be well.

Coastal and Central Regional Honor Choirs

The CCDA executive board has made the difficult decision to suspend our Coastal and Central Regional Honor Choirs this year. As with our beloved summer conference, it has become clear that it just won’t be possible – or, more importantly, safe – to bring our students together in the fall to sing in our ensembles.

Please keep checking the Honor Choir page for updates to the audition process for All State for the fall of 2020, since they cannot be in person. CCDA is committed to giving our students an All State experience for the 2020-2021 school year, even if it looks different than normal. There is no formal word about All State at this time, but as soon as a decision is made we will let you know.

And as our President’s Council stated, please remain connected with us during this difficult time. We will continue to converse with you via our online platforms, and will reach out directly in Cantate. Your board is dedicated to serving you through this crisis, and helping us all emerge stronger than before. Be well.

-The CCDA Executive Board

Sincerely,

-Jeffrey Benson, President
-Chris Peterson, President-Elect
