Summer Conference at ECCO

One of the CCDA’s premiere events every year is our Summer Conference at ECCO, an amazing conference held near the end of July at the intimate Episcopal Conference Center, Oakhurst, just outside of Yosemite. Each year, the conference features a nationally or internationally renowned headliner, as well as a diverse slate of sessions on a wide range of topics related to choral music led by experts in the field. Your registration includes up to 20 packets of choral music in a variety of styles and voicings, most of which will be read during the conference. So if you’re looking for new repertoire, ECCO is the place to be. One of the very best features of this conference, however, is that attendees eat all their meals together in a large dining hall, which affords a rich opportunity to meet and network with other choral musicians, to ask questions of the experts, and to share best practices. The conference ends each year with a themed costume dinner party hosted and served by the CCDA board of directors. Costumes are optional, but most people dress up, and a few really dress to the nines! If you haven’t been to ECCO, you haven’t been to a choral conference. Make plans to join us next summer as Dr. Judy Bowers from the University of Louisiana Monroe leads our 2020 conference! We hope to pack the conference center to capacity.
